Alexander Dovzhenko

Alexander Dovzhenko began playing poker professionally in the late 1990s, building a reputation in the Ukrainian poker scene. His first major breakthrough came in 2009 when he finished second at the European Poker Tour event in Kyiv, earning a significant cash prize and putting him on the international map. This result established him as a serious contender in live tournaments.

In 2010, Dovzhenko achieved several notable results: he won the Mediterranean Poker Cup in Cyprus, was a finalist in the Russian Poker Tour, and reached the final table of the Casinos Austria Poker Tour in Baden. He also placed third in a Partouche Poker Tour side event that same year. His best live cash to date is $312,336, and his total live tournament earnings exceed $2.8 million as recorded by the Hendon Mob database.

In January 2011, Dovzhenko served as captain of the Ukrainian National Team in the World Cup of Poker, showcasing his leadership and skill on a global stage. He also appeared on the second season of the poker TV show "Russian Fight" on REN TV, further increasing his visibility in the poker community.

Dovzhenko is consistently ranked among the top Ukrainian poker players, currently holding the 6th position on the Ukraine All Time Money List. His Hendon Mob profile lists 11 WSOP money finishes, one WPT cash, and two EPT cashes including a final table. Despite a relatively low Global Poker Index ranking, his consistent results over more than a decade have cemented his status as a respected figure in the poker world.
