Andonis Poulengeris

Antonis Poulengeris began his poker career on the online felt, gradually progressing to live events. His early results include cashes in GUKPT and Irish Open events, such as a 14th-place finish in the 2021 GUKPT Victoria Midi Main Event (£2,540) and a 16th-place finish in the 2024 GUKPT Grosvenor Main Event (£1,370).

Poulengeris achieved his most notable result in December 2025, finishing runner-up in the online poker Tour London Main Event, earning £17,680 after a five-way deal. Earlier, in June 2017, he had a deep run in the online poker LIVE Grand Prix UK Main Event, surviving a crucial double-up with overs against pocket pair before eventually being eliminated.

At the World Series of Poker, Poulengeris has recorded several deep finishes. In 2024, he placed 80th in the COLOSSUS event (19,303 entries) and 840th in the Millionaire Maker. In 2025, he finished 644th in the Summer Celebration event and 2,270th in the Gladiators of Poker event.

Poulengeris has also cashed in the EPT UKIPT Main Event (62nd in 2016, €2,630) and the WPT National Main Event at Dusk Till Dawn (31st in 2016, $4,704). His consistent performance across multiple venues underscores his adaptability.

Known for his aggressive approach, Poulengeris often applies pressure with well-timed bluffs and large bets. In a 2025 online poker event, he three-bet with J♣5♥ and led out on a Q♣8♥6♠ flop to force a fold from a better hand. He is also capable of navigating short stacks, as seen in his 2017 Grand Prix UK hand where he doubled with overs on a favorable flop.
