The tournament attracted 535 entrants, and he emerged victorious after a three-day final table, defeating French player Jose Astima heads-up. Van Zijp's pocket jacks held against Astima's pocket tens to secure the €110,000 first prize, along with a €2,000 package for the WPT European Championship in Nottingham. This marked his fourth recorded live tournament win. In a post-win interview, Van Zijp expressed his excitement and mentioned plans to play the WPT Main Event in Nottingham and then enjoy a pre-booked cruise.
