Dieter Aebi

Dieter Aebi has been a regular on the European live poker circuit, notching cashes in a variety of events from 2012 onward. Early successes include two deep runs at the Marrakech Poker Open Summer Edition in June 2013, finishing 14th (€3,909) and 44th (€1,273). In October 2016, he placed 35th in the Barrière Poker Tour Blotzheim (€1,260). His biggest recorded cash came in March 2023, when he finished 19th in the UDSO Main Event out of 596 entrants for €2,520.

Other notable results include a 26th place at the 2017 Spanish Poker Festival (€1,318), a 13th-place finish at the 2012 Deepstack Open Malta (€2,100), and a 14th-place at the 2015 Tanger Poker Festival (20,000 MAD). Aebi also cashed in the Unibet Deepstack Open Cannes in 2014 and the Pokerfirma Midsummer Festival in 2017.

During a 2024 Malta Poker Festival event, Aebi demonstrated his ability to build a big pot. On a board of 4♦J♠8♣10♣, he raised to 11,000 over a bet, then fired 20,000 on the 4♥ river. His opponent called, but Aebi turned over 10♥10♦ for a full house, taking an early pot worth 90,000 chips.

In recent years, Aebi has focused on Swiss tournaments at Prestige Poker Dietlikon. His most notable win came on February 27, 2025, when he took first place in the 180er Freezeout (€180+40 buy-in), which included a 550 PCSO on top. Other cashes at the same venue include 8th in a 100K Deep (2026), 12th in a Sunday Deep (2026), 4th in a Monthly Omaha event (2025), and multiple top-15 finishes in 2024–2025.

Aebi has also shown skill in Omaha variants. He placed 2nd in the Omaharanking H2 2026 on Buy-In.info, and finished 4th in a Monthly Omaha (PLO) tournament at Prestige Poker Dietlikon in May 2025, further highlighting his versatility.
