2011 World Poker Tour Vienna

In 2011, Gromov claimed the biggest title of his career by winning the World Poker Tour (WPT) Vienna main event. The tournament attracted 555 entrants, and Gromov entered the final table as chip leader. Starting the day fifth in chips, he quickly took the lead and burst the bubble in Level 21. He bagged a massive stack of 6,200,000 chips, making him the only player over 6 million and giving him 124 big blinds heading into Day 4. The event drew a record 791 entries for a $2,183,160 prize pool, with the winner set to earn $377,500. Despite having previously earned silver and bronze finishes in Merit Main Events, Gromov is now in prime position to finally capture the trophy.
