Doug Lee

Doug Lee was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He attended the University of Calgary, where he earned a college degree in marketing. Before turning to poker full-time, Lee worked as a real estate investor, a background that likely contributed to his analytical approach to the game.

Lee's most notable poker achievement came in 2005 when he won a World Series of Poker Circuit event at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. He defeated professional player Jennifer Harman in heads-up play to claim the first-place prize of $695,970, which remains his largest cash to date. This victory earned him his first WSOP Circuit ring; he would later go on to win a second Circuit ring, solidifying his status as a two-time WSOP Circuit champion. Poker veteran Allen Kessler also weighed in, criticizing Lee's behavior.
