Edward Pak

Edward Pak, often called 'Eddie', was born in Bowie, Maryland, United States, and currently resides in Los Angeles, California. Despite his growing success in poker, he maintains a career at Netflix, balancing a part-time tournament schedule with his job. His live tournament earnings, as recorded on The Hendon Mob, exceed $2.4 million, with a best live cash of $2,000,000.

Pak first caught the attention of the poker world during the 2024 World Series of Poker Main Event. He navigated a massive field to reach Day 7, ultimately finishing in 47th place for $200,000. Reflecting on the experience, Pak noted that the long structure and deep stacks taught him valuable lessons about playing with short stacks and remaining patient. This deep run provided the confidence needed for his subsequent success.

Just months after his WSOP run, Pak entered the 2024 WPT World Championship at the Wynn Las Vegas—a $10,000 buy-in event with 2,392 entrants. He dominated the final table as the chip leader, often opening any two cards due to his massive stack. In a key hand against Anže Šmajd, Pak's aggressive strategy paid off. He eventually finished third, earning $2,000,000, the largest cash of his career. This result marked his second deep run in a major event within a year, solidifying his reputation as a rising force in tournament poker.

Pak describes himself as a part-time tournament professional who relies on aggression and timing. He emphasizes the importance of patience, especially in events with long levels like the WPT's 90-minute rounds. Despite multiple final tables, he has yet to secure a first-place finish, a goal he aims to achieve in 2025. By increasing his tournament volume and playing a full WSOP summer, Pak hopes to close out an event and add a title to his resume.
