Eita Sakai

Eita Sakai hails from Japan and has built a solid record in live poker tournaments since 2022, predominantly in mixed game events. According to Card Player, his total live earnings exceed $36,000 from 12 recorded cashes. He claimed his first tournament win in November 2025 at the Asian Poker Tour Championship, taking down the NT$7,000 R.O.E.D.S. Hyper Turbo event for $2,296. His career-best score came in January 2025 at the Asia Series Poker Tour Korea, where he finished third in a KRW 1,100,000 No-Limit Hold'em event for $9,961.

Sakai has made four WSOP appearances spanning 2023 and 2024. In 2023, he cashed in the $1,500 Eight Game Mix Six Max (81st place, $2,632) and the $600 Pot-Limit Omaha Deepstack Eight Max (151st, $1,773). In 2024, he placed 53rd in the $2,500 Mixed Triple Draw Lowball for $5,054.

Sakai has also participated in Japanese domestic events. Records from Meijin Poker indicate he played in the MASTERS S-1 2024 #9 Mix Triple High-Low and the Japan Open Poker Tour 2024 Grand Final #15 2-tone Hold'em, though specific results are not provided.
