Han Gue Tae

Han Gue Tae (often listed as Tae Hoon Han or Tae Han) was born in South Korea and moved with his family to Auckland, New Zealand, at the age of nine. He began playing online poker on PokerStars before making his live tournament debut in 2012 at the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour (ANZPT). In 2015, he returned to South Korea to test his skills in live cash games and tournaments, quickly establishing himself as a staple of the high-stakes Asian circuit.

Han’s first major title came in 2017 when he outlasted the field in the PokerStars Festival Korea Main Event, earning $73,954 and launching his professional trajectory. His career-best live cash of $92,391 came in December 2018 at the Jeju Red Dragon Main Event, where he finished 3rd.
