Jake Schindler

Jake Schindler (born September 25, 1989) was raised in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He began playing live poker tournaments in 2009 and quickly made a name for himself in both live and online arenas. He now resides in Hollywood, Florida.

Schindler’s first notable success came online under the alias "CaLLitARUSH" on PokerStars. In September 2013, he won a World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) event, earning nearly $150,000. That same year, he cashed in his first World Series of Poker events: the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em Six-Handed and the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em. In 2012, he won a WSOP Circuit ring at the Palm Beach Kennel Club in Event #5: $345 No-Limit Hold'em Six-Handed for $24,736.

His first major live cash came in 2014 when he won the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) $25,000 High Roller for $1,192,624. He continued to build momentum with consistent results in high-roller events. In 2017, he finished runner-up to Christoph Vogelsang in the $300,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl, earning a career-best $3,600,000 at the time.

Schindler’s 2018 season was record-breaking. He made 31 final tables, a single-year record, surpassing Stephen Chidwick’s 26. His victories included:

• Winning the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open (SHRPO) High Roller for $800,758, defeating Shaun Deeb heads-up.
• Taking down the World Poker Tour (WPT) Five Diamond $100,000 High Roller for $1,332,000.
• Winning the partypoker MILLIONS Barcelona Grand Final €100,000 Super High Roller for $2,151,754.
• Additional titles from the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure High Roller and multiple other events.

This dominance earned him the prestigious Card Player Player of the Year Award for 2018. He also amassed over $10 million in tournament earnings that year alone.

Schindler continued his high-stakes success into the early 2020s. In 2021, he won the Poker Masters $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em event for $655,000 and the PokerGO Cup $25,000 event for $324,000. He also finished second in a $50,000 Super High Roller Bowl Europe event for $362,600 and fourth in another for $260,000.

In 2022, he won the U.S. Poker Open $25,000 event for $310,500. His biggest win of the year came at the Super High Roller Bowl Europe, where he took down the $250,000 buy-in event for $3,200,000. He also placed third in the Triton Poker Series Cyprus $100,000 event for $903,000.

At the 2022 World Series of Poker, Schindler won his first WSOP bracelet in Event #12: $50,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold'em, earning $1,328,068. He also finished runner-up in Event #8: $25,000 High Roller for $874,915. In the 2022 WSOP Main Event, he finished 173rd for $53,900. His best Main Event finish prior was 67th in 2019.

In 2023, he continued to perform, finishing third in the $50,000 High Roller at the WSOP for $957,491 and cashing in several other high-roller events. As of 2023, his live tournament earnings exceed $36.8 million, ranking him 22nd on the all-time money list and making him the top earner from Pennsylvania.

Schindler is known for his hyper-aggressive, pressure-based style, using position and stack sizes to force opponents into tough decisions. His calm demeanor at the table earned him the nickname "Silent Killer." He is also a versatile cash game player, frequently competing in the highest-stakes games in Las Vegas and online.

In September 2022, Schindler faced accusations of cheating, including collusion in live tournaments and the use of real-time assistance (RTA) tools online. Multiple top pros publicly alleged these practices. As a result, he was suspended from all PokerGO Tour events for the remainder of the 2022 season. Schindler has never publicly confirmed or denied the allegations. Despite the controversy, his tournament results remain largely intact and recognized by databases like The Hendon Mob.

Jake Schindler is regarded as one of the most successful high-stakes tournament players of his generation, with a record-breaking 2018 season and multiple seven-figure scores. He holds a WSOP bracelet, a WPT title, and numerous high-roller trophies. With $36,817,581 in lifetime earnings (as per The Hendon Mob), he sits 22nd on the all-time money list.
