Juhana Konttinen

Juhana Konttinen is a Finnish amateur poker player who balances his passion for the game with a career in IT and freelance photography. While not a high-profile professional, he has demonstrated consistent participation in European live tournaments, particularly in the Baltic region.

Kings of Tallinn 2023

In March 2023, Konttinen took part in the Kings of Tallinn €1,100 Main Event at the Olympic Park Casino in Tallinn. The tournament attracted 716 entries, generating a prize pool of €673,040. At the end of Day 1B, Konttinen bagged 115,800 chips (116 big blinds), placing him among the advancing players. He ultimately did not reach the final table, but his performance showed competitive play in a deep-field event.

Coolbet Open 2023

Konttinen also played in the Coolbet Open €330 Deep Stack Championship, a €300+30 buy-in event held in Tallinn. He was one of the first players eliminated on the final day, finishing in 1st place among the busted players at 00:47:21 into the day. The tournament had 53 players remaining at the start of the final day.

Outside of poker, Konttinen works as an IT specialist (IT-asiantuntija) at Palvelualojen ammattiliitto PAM ry, a Finnish service union, where he has been employed since February 2024. He previously served as a Device Manager at Lassila & Tikanoja from 2021 to 2023. In addition, he runs a freelance photography business, focusing on lighting, urban landscapes, and documentary photography. He has also served as a board member for a housing company in Espoo since 2020.
