Khoa Anh Ngo

Khoa Anh Ngo was born and raised in Hanoi, Vietnam. He began his poker journey online before transitioning to live tournaments, quickly becoming a regular on the Asian circuit. He built his bankroll grinding local series such as the Vietnam Poker League (VPL) and USOP, often competing in major festivals across Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City. His consistent results in regional events laid the foundation for a move into the high-roller circuit.

Ngo's breakout year came in 2025, when he secured multiple career-best scores. In September 2025, he won the $2,000 NLH One Night event at the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series in Jeju, earning $58,700 and proving his ability in the prestigious Triton environment. Just weeks later, in October 2025, he topped a record-breaking field of 305 entries in the APT Jeju 2025 High Roller, defeating German pro Fabian Gumz heads-up to claim the title and KRW 261,400,000 (~$186,715).

In January 2026, Ngo captured the KPC x LPT Series 2026 High Roller at LES A Casino in Jeju, besting a field of 178 entries to win KRW 181,700,000 ($125,670) – at that time the largest cash of his career. The final table included fellow Vietnamese pro Quang Minh Nguyen, who finished second.

His most remarkable victory came in March 2026 at the Triton One event (NLH 7-Handed, $10,000 buy-in) in Jeju, where he topped a field of 347 entries to win $612,000, the biggest single prize of his career. This win skyrocketed his lifetime earnings and cemented his status among Asia's top players.

Ngo has also made deep runs on the global stage. At the WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas in December 2024, he finished 127th for approximately $27,000. In June 2023, he reached the final table of the APT Summer Series Hanoi High Roller, finishing 6th for VND 620,250,000. He consistently cashes in Triton events, including a 20th-place finish in a $21,200 buy-in event at Triton Jeju in March 2026 ($53,500).

Ngo has amassed over $2.75 million in live tournament earnings as of early 2026, though earlier reports placed him above $1.1 million. The discrepancy reflects his rapid rise in 2025–2026. He currently ranks 11th on the Vietnam All Time Money List and has attended 56 events, finishing in the money 38 times.

Khoa Anh Ngo is known for his aggressive yet calculated approach. His heads-up victory against Fabian Gumz at APT Jeju was described as “lightning-fast,” highlighting his decisiveness and confidence in short-handed situations. He excels in both turbos and deep-stacked structures, demonstrating versatility. Observers note his ability to read opponents accurately and apply pressure in position. Despite his success, Ngo remains humble, stating after his KPC win that rankings are not a major focus for him.

Ngo continues to compete at the highest levels of Asian poker. In April 2026 he participated in Poker Dream 22 Jeju Mystery Bounty High Roller. He is considered one of the pioneers of Vietnamese poker, inspiring a new generation of players from the country. His consistent results against elite international fields have made him a recognizable figure on the Asian tour, and he frequently shares hand analysis through online forums and streams, contributing to the growth of poker in Vietnam.
