Leonid Biokur

Leonid (also known as Alex) Bilokur was born in 1976 in Russia. He first discovered poker while studying at a military academy, where card games were a popular pastime. After graduating and establishing his own business, he began playing poker more seriously. His first major live score came in March 2010 at EPT Berlin, where he won a side event for $237,212.

Bilokur's biggest career victory came in January 2012 at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $25,000 High Roller. He topped a field of 148 elite players, defeating Jonathan Duhamel heads-up to earn $1,134,930. In 2014, he won his first World Series of Poker bracelet in the $10,000 Pot-Limit Hold'em Championship, taking home $398,567.

He also finished runner-up in the 2012 EPT Barcelona €25,000 High Roller for $369,846 and won a $10,300 Six-Max event at EPT Season X – PCA for $202,720.

Bilokur has been active on WSOP.com and online poker, accumulating over $598,000 in online cashes. His notable online results include a runner-up finish in a $500 event during the 2021 WSOP Online for $112,728 and a deep run in the 2022 WSOP Online Main Event (57th, $45,515).

Bilokur prefers high roller events because he believes the tougher competition forces him to play his best. He avoids lower buy-in tournaments where players often make illogical moves. At the tables, he is known for wearing his lucky white sunglasses, which he considers his trademark. He divides his time about 70-30 between his business and poker, viewing the latter primarily as a hobby.

As of 2026, Leonid Bilokur's total recorded tournament winnings exceed $3.5 million. He has 65 combined live and online cashes, including two WSOP final tables (one bracelet) and multiple high roller titles. Despite a relatively low public profile, his success in high-stakes tournaments has earned him respect among peers.
