Lucia Teixeira

Lucia Teixeira (born as Lucía Navarro Martínez) is a Spanish professional poker player who has built her career in both live cash games and tournaments. She moved to Portugal in 2015 and currently resides there, representing the country in the international poker scene. Teixeira became an online poker brand ambassador in June 2024, aiming to promote the game and inspire more women to take up poker.

Teixeira began playing poker professionally in 2013, starting with live cash games in Spain. She quickly transitioned to tournaments, earning her first major cash in 2014 at the CNP Valencia Main Event, where she finished 3rd out of 135 entries, taking home R$16,130 (approximately $22,000 at the time). This result put her on the map in Spanish poker.

In 2015, she moved to London to play at the Victoria Casino, where she honed her skills and built her reputation. She later relocated to Portugal, where she continues to live and play.

Teixeira’s tournament record includes several deep runs in Spanish and international events. Notable results include:

• 2014 CNP Valencia Main Event: 3rd place, R$16,130
• 2015 BSOP Main Event (Brazil): 9th place in a $3,300 No Limit Hold'em event, earning $16,240

In June 2024, Teixeira was announced as the newest brand ambassador for online poker, joining a team that includes Liv Boeree and Kara Scott. She expressed excitement about representing a poker room focused on satisfaction and fun, and she plans to participate in more major tournaments worldwide as part of her role.

Teixeira is primarily a cash game player, but she has adapted well to tournament structures. She is known for her patience and persistence, having overcome the stigma of being a woman in a male-dominated industry.
