Mikhail Dubeyko

Mikhail Dubeyko (born c. 1981 in Cheboksary, Chuvash Republic, Russia) was introduced to poker while serving in the military by fellow Russian player Kirill Gerasimov. After his discharge, he decided to pursue poker professionally and spent much of 2010 traveling across Europe to gain experience.

Dubeyko first cashed at the World Series of Poker in 2010, finishing 8th in Event #16: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Six Handed for $41,645. In 2011, he recorded five WSOP cashes, including an 8th-place finish in Event #4: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em for $84,033. His biggest achievement came later that year when he won Event #36: $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em, earning $749,610 and his first WSOP bracelet. He became one of the top 20 ranked players in the world in June 2011. By 2012, he added three more WSOP cashes, including a 241st-place finish in the Main Event.

Dubeyko also found success on the European Poker Tour, with five main event money finishes. His EPT results include multiple deep runs in events like the EPT Prague and EPT Grand Final. His total live tournament earnings exceed $1.5 million.

In September 2011, Dubeyko signed a sponsorship agreement with the poker room GuruPlay Poker. During his peak, he was ranked among the top 20 players globally. He has seven career WSOP in-the-money finishes since starting in 2010.

While specific details of his playing style are not widely publicized, Dubeyko's consistent deep runs in large-field events and his bracelet win reflect a well-rounded tournament game. He is regarded as one of Russia's early poker pioneers, helping to popularize the game in his home country.
