Nipun Java is a top Indian professional poker player, known for his outstanding performance in online and offline tournaments, and is considered one of the pioneers of the Indian poker scene.
Early Career and Transition
Nipun Java was born in Kolkata, India, and later moved to Los Angeles, USA. Before becoming a professional poker player, he worked as a software engineer. In 2009, Java began making a name for himself in low-stakes live tournaments in Los Angeles, gradually gaining experience and moving up to higher buy-in events.

Java has achieved significant success at the World Series of Poker (WSOP), winning three bracelets:
- 2017 WSOP: Won the $1,000 buy-in Tag Team event for $75,318; later in the same series, he won the online $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Championship for $237,688.
- 2023 WSOP: Won the online $777 buy-in Lucky 7's event for $195,151.
Additionally, he has two WSOP Circuit gold rings:
