Phachara Wongwichit

Phachara Wongwichit, a Thai professional poker player, began his poker journey online before transitioning to live tournaments. His breakthrough came in 2016 at the Aussie Millions in Melbourne, where he finished second in an A$1,150 event for A$170,000 (approximately $118,728), providing the bankroll and confidence to compete on the global stage. That same year marked the start of his rise in Asian poker circuits.

In 2017, Wongwichit narrowly missed his first WSOP bracelet, finishing fourth in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout for $84,453. He continued to build momentum with a second-place finish at the HK$50,000 APPT Macau Poker Cup in February 2018, earning HK$885,000 ($113,162). Later that year, he secured his then-largest career cash of $204,728 by finishing second in the $1,100 Wynn Summer Classic.

Wongwichit's consistency in high-stakes events is evident from multiple six-figure scores in 2022 and 2023. In May 2022, he earned $106,089 for a deep run in the €5,000 Triton Poker Series event in Madrid, and in May 2023, he won the NT$100,000 APT Taipei High Roller for $156,692. His most significant achievement came at the 2026 APT Taipei Superstar Challenge, where he topped a 26-entry field to win $232,300—his largest live cash to date. This event featured top players including GPI world No. 1 Ren Lin and four-time WSOP bracelet winner Dominik Nitsche.

As a Natural8 Ambassador, Wongwichit is a familiar face on both live and online circuits. He has cashed in numerous WSOP events, including the 2021 Main Event (209th for $44,200) and the 2020 GGPoker WSOP Online Main Event (27th for $55,880). His live earnings total $2,932,335 placing him 3rd on the Thailand All Time Money List. He also demonstrated his versatility by winning a Hyper Turbo Mix Game event at the ZSOP festival in 2026.

Wongwichit is known for an aggressive yet calculated style, effective chip management, and the ability to close out high-roller events quickly. He regularly competes in No-Limit Hold'em and Pot-Limit Omaha tournaments, showing adaptability across formats. Beyond the felt, he co-founded DeepRun, a multilingual poker training platform that became the official strategy sponsor of the APT in 2026. Wongwichit's contributions to poker education and his consistent results make him a leading figure in Thailand's poker community.
