Phuoc Hong Nguyen

Phuoc Hong Nguyen, also known as Phuoc "Paul" Nguyen, is a professional poker player from San Jose, California, United States. His live tournament earnings total $2,887,325 across 359 cashes. He has 37 WSOP cashes totaling $481,539 with two final tables but no bracelet. He also has two WPT cashes for $37,098.

Nguyen's largest career cash came in August 2017 when he won the $160/$550 No-Limit Hold'em Mega Millions XVII $1 Million GTD at the WPT Legends of Poker, taking home $335,914. In March 2024, he won the $380/$200 No-Limit Hold'em Quantum $500K GTD at the Winnin' o' the Green series for $96,720. Another notable score is a third-place finish in the $1,200 No-Limit Hold'em $1 Million GTD at the 2026 L.A. Poker Classic for $115,000.

In 2026, Nguyen has several cashes including a third-place in a $250 event at Winnin' o' the Green ($10,735), a 39th in the $500 California State Poker Championship ($1,820), and a 152nd in the Wynn Summer Classic $1,100 event ($2,485). In December 2025, he bagged 5,325,000 chips on Day 2 of the WPT Prime Championship at Wynn Las Vegas, advancing to Day 3 among 120 survivors.

In February 2026, Nguyen reached the final table of the LAPC Commerce Classic, a $1,200 buy-in tournament with a $1 million guarantee. He finished in third place for $115,000 behind winner Fausto Valdez ($252,840) and runner-up Erick Ordonez ($177,270). The final table was notable for a controversial hand in which Duey Duong mucked a chop on the river, a mistake that benefited Ordonez.
