Renat Bohdanov

Renat Bohdanov began his poker journey playing small local tournaments in his native Ukraine. His first recorded live cash came in February 2018, and he soon started frequenting King's Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, drawn by its larger fields and higher stakes. In March 2019, he cashed four times during a WSOP Circuit series at Rozvadov, including a third-place finish in the €777 Lucky Sevens event for €10,960 – then a career-best score. The breakthrough came in October 2019 at the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE). Bohdanov won Event #1: €350 Opener No-Limit Hold'em, outlasting a field of 1,011 entries to capture his first WSOP gold bracelet and €53,654, along with a €10,350 WSOPE Main Event ticket. He told PokerNews, "I'm not realizing it yet that I just won a bracelet. I think I'm really going to be happy. It's a good feeling." This victory made him the seventh Ukrainian WSOP bracelet winner.

Bohdanov continued to build his resume over the next few years. In May 2022 at EPT Monte-Carlo, he finished second in a €2,200 No-Limit Hold'em event, earning €187,460. Later that year, in September 2022, he won a WSOP Circuit ring by taking down the €550 NLHE Monster Stack at Rozvadov for €142,850. He then began stepping up to high-roller events in mid-2023, with notable results including a sixth-place finish in a $25,000 Triton Poker Super High Roller event in London for $168,000, and a ninth-place finish in the $25,000 GGMillion$ High Rollers Championship at WSOP Paradise in December 2023 for $208,300. Other deep runs include 21st in the 2023 EPT Cyprus $5,300 Main Event ($32,725) and 71st in the 2023 WSOP Europe €10,350 Main Event (€22,150).

From mid-2023 onward, Bohdanov regularly played high-stakes tournaments worldwide. He cashed in multiple $10,000+ events, including the 2023 WPT World Championship ($25,500), the 2023 WSOP Paradise $10,000 High Roller 6-Handed ($18,274), and the 2024 WSOP $10,000 Main Event (407th, $40,000). He also recorded scores at EPT Barcelona and EPT Monte Carlo, and continued to accumulate cashes across various buy-in levels. His consistent results raised his total live earnings, with The Hendon Mob reporting over $2.1 million and a GPI rank near 1,900.

In June 2025, Bohdanov achieved the pinnacle of live poker once more. He won the $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em Freezeout at the 2025 WSOP in Las Vegas, defeating 1,026 opponents to collect $451,600 and his second gold bracelet. That summer he also cashed in the $1,500 Monster Stack (1263rd) and a $2,500 NLHE event (52nd). He continued to compete in 2026, making cashes at the WSOP and WSOP Europe, including 47th in a $2,500 NLHE, 146th in a $5,000 6-Handed, and 245th in the €5,300 WSOPE Main Event. Bohdanov remains an active presence on the global tournament circuit, known for his aggressive and adaptable style.
