Robert Mizrachi

Robert Mizrachi was born on November 24, 1978, in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. He grew up in Miami and later resided in Las Vegas, Nevada. Before becoming a professional poker player, Mizrachi worked as a poker dealer at a South Miami casino. This role gave him a deep understanding of the game from both sides of the table. He has three younger brothers: Michael (known as "The Grinder") and Eric, both professional poker players, and Donnie, a professional magician. Robert introduced Michael to poker, sparking a family dynasty in the poker world.

Mizrachi’s first recorded live cash came in January 2000, when he finished seventh in a $335 buy-in Limit Hold'em tournament. His early career included steady results in limit and mixed games. In November 2004, he won a €5,000 buy-in event at the Master Classic of Poker (MCOP) in Amsterdam, earning €372,240 (approximately $482,608). This victory gave him the bankroll to enter higher buy-in tournaments. He came close to his first World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet in 2005, finishing fourth in the $1,500 Limit Hold'em Shootout, and cashed in four events that year. In May 2006, he posted two six-figure scores within a month, and in early 2007 he finished fourth in the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event for $409,703.

Mizrachi has amassed five WSOP bracelets, all in mixed-game or Omaha events. His first bracelet came in 2007, winning the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship for $768,889. He reached two final tables in H.O.R.S.E. events that same year. After a seven-year drought, he won his second bracelet in 2014 in the inaugural $1,500 Dealer's Choice Six-Handed event ($147,092). He followed with a third bracelet in 2015 in the $1,500 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better event ($251,022). His fourth bracelet came in 2016 in the $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship ($242,662). Most recently, in 2024, he won his fifth bracelet in the $10,000 Dealer's Choice Championship ($333,045), tying his brother Michael for the family lead. As of 2024, Mizrachi has 14 WSOP final tables and 48 money finishes, with his best Main Event result being 116th place in 2010.

Beyond the WSOP, Mizrachi has excelled on the World Poker Tour (WPT) and in other major events. In July 2022, he achieved his career-best cash of $894,100 by winning a $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em event at the WPT Venetian festival. He also finished second in the 2009 UltimateBet Aruba $5,500 event for $414,680. On the European Poker Tour, he has two money finishes. His total live tournament earnings exceed $9.5 million, with 19 scores over $100,000. He has consistently cashed in high-stakes mixed-game events, including a fourth-place finish in the 2019 WSOP $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller ($497,112).

Mizrachi is known for a solid, equilibrium-based style, particularly in limit and mixed games. He leverages position and careful observation of betting patterns to make decisions, preferring small, consistent bets to build pots and pressure opponents. He tends to avoid high-variance plays, relying on hand reading and adaptability. His deep background as a dealer gives him a unique perspective on player tendencies.

Robert is a key member of the "Mizrachi brothers," alongside Michael and Eric. He is married with children and maintains a relatively low-key public profile. Despite his brothers' high profiles, Robert has built his own legacy through consistent results and multiple WSOP bracelets. He often discusses strategy with Michael and Eric but has made independent career choices. He uses the nickname "Who's Bad" on the felt.
