Steven Jones Jr

Steven Jones Jr. was raised in Michigan, attending Birmingham Seaholm High School. He later moved to Arizona to study at Arizona State University, graduating in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in business management. After college, he launched a career in real estate, founding JR Jones Realty, a luxury property firm based in Phoenix. His academic background in business management provided him with analytical and risk-management skills that would later prove valuable at the poker table.

Jones entered the live poker scene in 2016, making his first World Series of Poker cash in Event #2: $565 No-Limit Hold'em Colossus (The Colossus II). He steadily improved over the next few years. In 2018, he reached his first WSOP final table, finishing ninth in the $565 Colossus for $57,425. That same year, he also placed eighth in the Tag Team event (Event #59). Jones navigated the field skillfully and entered the final table as the second chip leader. He maintained his momentum through Days 8 and 9, holding a significant chip lead when the final three players returned. Ultimately, he finished as the runner-up to Daniel Weinman, earning $6,500,000—the largest cash of his career. This result vaulted him into the top 300 of the all-time money list and made him the all-time money leader from Arizona.
