Trond Bastiansen

Trond Bastiansen has built a distinguished career in the hospitality industry over more than three decades. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Social Gaming Group, a company specializing in social gaming concepts, a position he has held since January 2025. Prior to this, he held senior roles at Nordic Choice Hotels, including Chief Operating Officer of Nordic Hotels & Resorts, Senior Vice President of Clarion Collection Hotels, and Director of Operations for Quality Hotels. His professional journey also includes leadership positions at Dolly Dimple's and academic roles at the University of Stavanger, where he served as Dean and Assistant Professor at the Norwegian School of Hotel Management. Bastiansen holds a Master's degree in Hospitality Administration from the Norwegian School of Hotel Management and has completed the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD.

Bastiansen is an active participant in Norway's domestic poker scene, particularly in the annual Poker NM (Norwegian Poker Championship). His most notable recorded result came in the 2025 Poker NM NLH Turbo event, where he finished ninth out of a large field, earning a prize of 590,000 NOK.
