Ulf Steringer is a Swedish poker player who has made a mark in the Scandinavian live tournament scene. While not a full-time professional, he has achieved consistent success, particularly in the Nordic Light Poker series, where he finished runner-up twice. His career highlights include a fifth-place finish in the Swedish Open and a 14th-place in Poker-SM, with total live tournament winnings of 221,800 SEK across seven recorded events.

Steringer's early results include a fifth-place finish at the Swedish Open and a 14th-place finish at Poker-SM (the Swedish Poker Championship). These results established him as a competitive player in the local poker community.

Steringer’s most notable performances came at the Nordic Light Poker main event at Casino Cosmopol in Sundsvall. In 2010, he entered via a 2,000 SEK satellite and fought his way to the final table. After a heads-up battle against Johan Wedin, Steringer finished second, earning 165,000 SEK. The final hand saw Steringer's 10♥2♦ lose to Wedin's J♠4♠ on a board of 3♣4♥9♣6♠3♠, with Wedin making a pair of fours on the turn to win.

In the 2009 edition of the same event, Steringer also finished runner-up to Johan Wedin. His consistency was highlighted by his own words in a post-tournament interview: he had reached five final tables in his last six major tournaments.

In 2011, Steringer again made the final table of Nordic Light Poker. He was eliminated in 10th place after his A♥7♥ lost to Mikael Olsson's A♣K♠ on a board of 8♠K♦8♦6♠K♥, earning 13,200 SEK.

Steringer has described himself as a hobbyist rather than a full-time pro. He rarely plays online and mostly participates in live tournaments at Casino Cosmopol in Sundsvall, often qualifying through satellites. Despite his success, he maintains that poker is a hobby first, a mindset that has allowed him to enjoy the game while still achieving impressive results.
