Wen Jie Huang

Wen Jie Huang was born in 1990 in Hangzhou, China. He works in the AI technology industry and originally played poker as a high-level hobby. His poker journey began at an internet company where colleagues organized weekly Friday games. Starting as a novice who only knew the basic rules, he played for about six months without ever losing a session, which sparked his passion for the game. Huang is known for his introverted personality and rarely engages in social media, preferring to focus on his work and poker.

Huang first gained international recognition online under the handle "Jerome001" on GGPoker. In 2021, during the WSOP Online series, he finished 3rd in a $25,000 Super High Roller for $720,679 and also placed 2nd in a $10,300 event. He took a break in 2022 and 2023 due to work, but returned in 2024 to win his first WSOP gold bracelet in the $10,000 Heads-Up Championship, earning $366,893. His total online tournament cashes on GGPoker exceed $3.65 million, with his single largest online score being $870,000. Huang prefers online tournaments because they are less time-consuming and more cost-effective than live events.

Huang made his debut at the Triton Poker Series in March 2025 during the Jeju stop. In his very first Triton festival, he entered the $100,000 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event and emerged victorious, winning a staggering $5,555,000 after defeating Dan "Jungleman" Cates heads-up. This victory is widely regarded as one of the greatest debuts in Triton history. The tournament attracted 285 entries, and Huang entered the final table as chip leader after a dominant Day 2 performance. He also cashed in the same series in the $15,000 NLH 8-Handed event for $26,500 (46th) and the $100,000 PLO Main Event for $423,000 (7th).
