Yasuharu Kawamoto

Yasuharu Kawamoto is a Japanese professional poker player who has made a name for himself on the Asian poker circuit. His first notable cash came in 2018 at the PokerStars.net APPT Manila in the Philippines. In the Rebuy Charity Event, he finished 7th out of 86 entries, earning ₱41,700 (approximately $784). The event was won by Yazhou Chen of China who took home ₱187,800 ($3,532).

Kawamoto continued to compete in Asian tournaments and in 2019, he cashed in the APT Philippines Championship. He finished in 27th place, taking ₱184,700 (approximately $3,650). The tournament attracted a large field and featured a ₱55,000 buy-in with a prize pool of ₱65,492,460.

Kawamoto is described as a tight-aggressive (TAG) player who emphasizes starting hand quality and positional awareness.
