Yuval Bronshtein

Yuval Bronshtein was born in Israel and currently resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. His poker career began online, where he quickly rose to prominence thanks to his deep understanding of mathematics and probability. In August 2008, Bronshtein made online poker history by winning two Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) events on the same day: first the $535 HORSE event (defeating 655 players, prize $70,412.50), followed by a victory in the $216 NL Hold'em Turbo event (defeating 2,472 players, prize $101,975). In that series, he won a total of four FTOPS titles, setting a record at the time.

Bronshtein has excelled in the World Series of Poker (WSOP). His first WSOP cash came in 2007 in the $2,000 Pot-Limit Hold'em event, finishing third for $109,018. He reached multiple final tables thereafter, but it wasn't until 2019 that he won his first gold bracelet on his tenth WSOP final table: Event #13: $1,500 Limit 2-7 Single Draw Lowball, defeating Ajay Chabra to win $96,278.

In 2021, Bronshtein won again in WSOP Event #12: $1,500 Limit Hold'em, defeating Kevin Erickson to earn his second gold bracelet and $124,374. Additionally, he won a side event at the 2012 WSOP Europe and a WSOP Circuit ring in 2015.

Bronshtein's largest live cash came in the 2012 WSOP Main Event, where he finished 23rd out of 6,598 players for $294,601. As of 2025, his career live tournament earnings exceed $4,019,127 (Hendon Mob database), placing him near the top of the Israeli all-time money list.

Other highlights include: a sixth-place finish in 2024 WSOP Event #69: $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better ($25,442), and multiple top-ten finishes in various WSOP mixed games.

Bronshtein is known for a solid, patient style, excelling in deep-stack structures and mixed games (such as HORSE, 2-7 Lowball, Limit Hold'em). He rarely engages in social media controversies, preferring to let his results speak for themselves, and is regarded within the poker community as an "Israeli crusher" and "online grinder."
