85s is a speculative hand that plays best in multiway pots with deep stacks. Its value comes primarily from its suited nature and the potential to make flushes or straights. However, the hand has limited high-card strength and is easily dominated.

Hand Strength and Playability

85s is considered a weak hand in most positions. As a connector (85 is a two-gapper), it can make a straight but requires specific flops. For example, a straight can be completed with 6-7-9, 7-9-10, or 9-10-J. The suited aspect adds flush potential, but the low rank means even a flush may be vulnerable to higher flushes.

Typical Strategy
