轻全下线路(Light Jam Line)

Light Jam Line

A aggressive strategy where, when the opponent's range is weak or fold equity is high, you make a large raise or all-in with a wide range, forcing the opponent to fold and win the pot directly.

Overview

The light-jam line is a common aggressive play in poker, typically occurring preflop or postflop. Its core lies in exploiting opponents' folding tendencies rather than hand strength.

Principle

By evaluating opponents' ranges and willingness to fold, players choose moments when opponents appear weak or have narrow ranges, then shove or make oversized raises with a wider range of hands (such as weak pairs, suited connectors, or even complete air). If the opponent folds, they win the pot directly; if called, they are usually at a disadvantage but still have potential to outdraw.

Application Scenarios

  • Preflop: Against short-stacked players in the blinds, or when facing a small raise from the big blind, re-shoving with a wider range.
  • Postflop: When both players miss the flop, check then raise the opponent's continuation bet with a large bet, representing a strong hand to force folds of marginal holdings.

Considerations

  • Requires opponents to have a sufficient fold-to-shove rate; otherwise, the risk is extremely high.
  • Stack depth impact: More effective with shallow stacks; with deep stacks, opponents may call with wider ranges.
  • Frequency should be adjusted based on opponent tendencies to avoid being exploited and having strategies adjusted against you.
