Online Bracelet

Term: Online Bracelet The gold bracelet award given by the World Series of Poker WSOP to online tournament champions.

Overview

The Online Bracelet is a championship award established by the World Series of Poker (WSOP) for online events, with the same specifications as the gold bracelet awarded at live main events. The WSOP first introduced online bracelet events in 2015, initially on the WSOP.com platform. During the 2020 pandemic, the WSOP expanded its online event offerings and added more online bracelet events.

Event Format

Online bracelet events typically use common variants such as No-Limit Hold'em or Omaha, with buy-ins ranging from a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars. The competitions are conducted via online platforms, with players qualifying through satellite tournaments or registering directly. The format is generally multi-day, continuing until a champion is determined.

Significance

Winning an online bracelet represents a top achievement in online poker and is counted toward a player's total WSOP gold bracelets. Although some traditionalists consider online bracelets to be slightly less prestigious than live ones, most players recognize them as official WSOP awards.

Notes

  • Online bracelet events are limited to players in specific jurisdictions, such as certain US states or international platforms.
  • The events are typically subject to strict anti-cheating measures, including camera monitoring and real-time data analysis.
