2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) made history again. On June 16, Spanish poker superstar Adrian Mateos won the $250,000 No-Limit Hold'em Super High Roller event, capturing his sixth WSOP gold bracelet and becoming the youngest player ever to win six bracelets at age 31.

Mateos claimed the title on Day 18 of the 2026 WSOP, earning a career-best $4,334,411. The [final table] was stacked with elite players including Phil Ivey, Jason Koon, and Bryn Kenney. Mateos ultimately defeated Kenney to secure the crown.

During the traditional WSOP gold bracelet ceremony, Jack Effel, Senior Vice President of Poker Operations for Caesars Entertainment and WSOP, personally presented the bracelet to Mateos. The Spanish national anthem played as the entire room stood in tribute. Mateos raised his hands to show off his latest achievement to the crowd.

Mateos' WSOP Legacy

Mateos' WSOP journey began at the 2013 WSOP Europe. At just 19 years old, he won the €10,450 European Main Event for €1,000,000, becoming the second-youngest gold bracelet winner in history, behind only Annette Obrestad.
