The tournament's final day began with 1,763 players, all vying for a share of the riches. By the time the field was reduced to 49, each remaining player had secured at least $924 from the regular prize pool, plus any progressive bounties they had collected along the way.

Finland's 'RageReaperf' started Day 2 as the chip leader, with 'AHTOCb' sitting in second place—a position that would prove to be a harbinger of success.
