Corey Harrison Wins WSOP Circuit New Orleans Main Event

Thirteen years after winning a WSOP gold bracelet in 2013, a WSOP champion has added another WSOP Circuit gold ring to his poker trophy case. After three days of intense poker tournament action, Corey Harrison emerged as the champion of the Caesars New Orleans WSOP Circuit Main Event.

Outlasting a field of 420 entrants (total prize pool $636,300), Harrison is the last Main Event champion before the WSOP Circuit goes on hiatus—the WSOP Circuit will pause until after the 2026 WSOP concludes. Harrison won his only WSOP gold bracelet in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em event at the 2013 WSOP. The Louisiana native captured his second WSOP Circuit gold ring, along with $122,221 in prize money, by winning the Caesars New Orleans WSOP Circuit Main Event in his home state. He previously won his first WSOP Circuit gold ring in the $600 No-Limit Hold'em event in Biloxi in 2019.

After the victory, Harrison spoke with Poker.Org on-site reporter Liam Gannon about his recent good fortune, which prompted onlookers to urge him to head to Las Vegas for the ongoing 2026 WSOP. "I used to play a lot of tournaments," the champion said of his WSOP gold bracelet win 13 years ago. "Actually, some of the dealers from the Circuit, local dealers, told me I should go to Vegas and try the Series because I was running so good at the time." Having defeated runner-up Philip Lucia heads-up, it's likely we'll see Harrison on the 2026 WSOP felt.
