Coach FaLLout86 has launched a new video series that walks through the various cash game limits one by one. The first installment focuses on NL5, played with blinds of $0.02/$0.05. The series follows a review format: FaLLout86 breaks down his own session, analyzes interesting spots, and explains what to watch for at each limit using concrete hands.

Each episode examines what defines a given stake, which tendencies stand out in the player pool, and what adjustments those tendencies suggest for your own game.

NL5 Player Pool Tendencies

NL5 remains a classic entry-level limit, and several typical tendencies show up in the player pool.

• Players fold to 3-bets relatively often.
• At the same time, opponents themselves 3-bet far less frequently.
• On the river, raises contain bluffs only very rarely.

That last point can have a significant effect on how thinly value bets should be sized and how bluff-heavy certain opponent lines should be interpreted. FaLLout86 explains the strategic consequences in detail in the video.

Fast Poker vs. Regular Tables

The session was played at Fast Poker tables on GGPoker. After a fold, the next hand begins immediately, so significantly more hands can be played per hour. At the same time, the dynamics differ from regular cash game tables.

One important difference concerns notes. At regular tables, the same group of players sits together over a longer period. That makes it easier to spot changes in an individual opponent's behavior, for example when a player goes on tilt and suddenly deviates sharply from their previous play.

Notes remain an important tool in Fast Poker as well. Because the table composition constantly changes, however, there is no comparable table history with a fixed player pool.
