APT Online 2026 Returns With Its Largest Guarantee Pool

The Asian Poker Tour has been part of the live poker landscape since 2006, and its online series has grown into one of the most established recurring festivals on the GGPoker calendar. The 2026 edition continues that trajectory with a significant step up in prize money.

APT Online 2026 runs from October 11 to November 2 and offers $40 million in total guarantees across 20 Trophy Events. That is a 60 percent increase over the previous edition, which carried $25 million in guarantees. On top of the tournament schedule, GGPoker adds $400,000 in promotional value through a leaderboard, a freeroll, and winner bonuses.

A Predictable Trophy Event Rhythm

The series follows a consistent weekly structure. Trophy Events are scheduled every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, with Sundays carrying the largest guarantees and the most important weekend tournaments.

A regional element runs alongside the main schedule. Six National Cup events are played in local currencies for players from Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, Korea, the Philippines, and China. The Trophy Event schedule builds toward November 1, when two of the biggest tournaments run in parallel: the $5 million GTD Main Event and the $1 million GTD Super High Roller.

Five Events to Watch

The $800 APT Online Main Event is the centerpiece of the festival, bringing $5 million in guaranteed prize money to the tables on the final Sunday. It is the largest prize pool in the Trophy Event schedule and is likely to define the series.

Large guarantees are also available at lower stakes. The $80 Mini Main Event offers $1 million GTD, while the $250 Mystery Bounty Hunter carries a $2 million guarantee plus additional upside through mystery bounties.

At the top of the buy-in range, the $5,000 Superstar Challenge opens the festival as the most expensive Trophy Event on the schedule. The $3,000 Super High Roller closes it out with another major test for high rollers and $1 million guaranteed.

Omaha players get their own shot at an APT trophy. The Masters Omaha runs on October 29 as the series' dedicated PLO Trophy Event.

$400,000 in Added Value

Beyond tournament guarantees, APT Online 2026 offers $400,000 in additional value through three separate rewards aimed at consistent grinders, players chasing a seat to the live APT Championship, and Trophy Event winners.

$100K Trophy Event Leaderboard

A $100,000 leaderboard runs across all 20 Trophy Events and rewards the most consistent players of the series. The exact points system and payout structure have not yet been published. The basic principle is clear: regular deep runs across multiple Trophy Events can generate extra value beyond standard tournament payouts.

$100K APT Championship Freeroll

The second major promotion is a $100,000 freeroll on November 7. Prizes include satellite tickets for the APT Championship as well as a $10,000 Main Event seat.

Each player receives only one freeroll ticket, but the starting stack depends on how many different Trophy Events were played during APT Online.

• 1 Trophy Event played: 1,000 chips starting stack
• Each additional different Trophy Event: +1,000 chips
• All 20 Trophy Events played: 20,000 chips starting stack

Re-entries do not increase the stack, and satellites themselves do not count. However, qualifying through a satellite and then actually playing the corresponding Trophy Event does count.

Tickets are distributed between November 4 and 6, before the freeroll takes place on November 7.

$200K in Trophy Winner Bonuses

The final component is simple and among the most valuable. Every winner of one of the 20 APT Online Trophy Events receives a $10,000 seat for the APT Championship in addition to the regular tournament prize money. Across 20 Trophy Events, that automatically puts $200,000 in live event seats into the hands of winners.

Together with the leaderboard and freeroll, there are several ways to extract additional value from the series: play consistently, build a bigger freeroll stack, or win a Trophy Event and secure a $10K live seat directly.

Important Ticket Rules

Before planning a qualification strategy around the APT Championship seats, several key ticket conditions apply.

All promotional tickets awarded during APT Online 2026 expire at the end of November 2026. How flexibly they can be used depends on the ticket type.

• All satellite tickets: non-refundable and non-transferable
• First $10K APT Championship seat: non-refundable and non-transferable
• Second $10K seat and further seats: transferable, refundable for T$5K, or transferable to the APT Championship 2027 on request

For players capable of winning more than one Trophy Event, this distinction matters. The first $10,000 seat is tied to the APT Championship 2026, while additional seats offer considerably more flexibility. Multiple Trophy winners can potentially transfer an extra seat, convert it into T$5,000, or move it to the APT Championship 2027 on request.

Extra Value Beyond the Guarantees

Tournament guarantees are only part of the offering. APT Online rewards participation, deep runs, and victories in several ways. Playing multiple Trophy Events directly improves a player's starting position in the $100,000 APT Championship Freeroll. Each different event adds another 1,000 chips, up to a maximum 20,000-chip stack.

Satellite qualifiers benefit as well. A seat won through a satellite counts toward the freeroll stack once the corresponding Trophy Event is actually played.

A Trophy Event victory brings an even larger reward. Each champion receives a $10,000 seat for the APT Championship on top of the regular tournament payout, giving a title added value both online and on the live tour.

Timing also matters. Freeroll tickets are credited between November 4 and 6, the $100K freeroll takes place on November 7, and all promotional tickets expire at the end of November 2026.

The overall package is clear: APT Online 2026 combines $40 million in guarantees with $400,000 in additional promotional rewards and multiple paths to the APT Championship.
