Lex Veldhuis, one of poker's most beloved streamers, is gearing up for the World Series of Poker (WSOP) with a fiery determination. In a recent interview with Poker.org, the Dutch pro made his intentions crystal clear: "I'm going to kick the WSOP's ass!"

Veldhuis, known for his engaging Twitch streams and deep runs in major tournaments, has yet to capture a WSOP bracelet. Despite numerous close calls, including several final table appearances, the coveted gold bracelet remains elusive. But rather than feeling discouraged, Veldhuis sees this as unfinished business.

"I've been so close so many times," he said in the interview. "It's not about luck anymore; it's about putting myself in the right spots and executing. I know I have the game to do it."

A Career Built on Streaming and Success

Veldhuis first rose to prominence as a professional poker player, but his career took a significant turn when he embraced live streaming. Today, he is one of the most-followed poker streamers on Twitch, with hundreds of thousands of followers who tune in to watch his high-stakes play and engaging commentary.

His streaming success has also translated into tournament results. Veldhuis has consistently cashed in major events, including the WSOP Main Event, where he has made deep runs. In 2021, he finished in the money in the Main Event, and in 2022, he reached the final table of a WSOP Online event. These performances have only fueled his desire to go all the way.

In the interview, Veldhuis emphasized the importance of mental preparation. "The WSOP is a marathon, not a sprint," he explained. "You need to stay focused for days on end, and every decision matters. I've been working on my mental game as much as my technical game."
