WSOP 2026 (World Series of Poker) [Stud Hi-Lo] 8 or Better (known as [Stud] 8) event has reached a fever pitch. According to official tournament sources, the final table now features 10 players who will compete for the championship title and a substantial prize pool.
In the earlier stages of the event, well-known German amateur poker player Max Kruse unfortunately finished in 19th place. Kruse, famous for his football career, has been active in the poker scene in recent years, and his performance at this WSOP drew considerable attention. His elimination means there will be no German players remaining in the final rounds.
[Stud] 8 is a mixed game that combines high and low hand rankings; players must simultaneously compete for the best high hand and the lowest hand that qualifies as an 8-low. This event has traditionally attracted many mixed-game specialists, and the 2026 final table lineup is equally star-studded.
