WSOP Circuit Lands in Los Angeles and Cherokee May 7-18

After setting a historic record at Texas Card House in Austin, the WSOP Circuit continues across the United States and globally as the 57th World Series of Poker (WSOP) Las Vegas Main Event draws closer. From Thursday, May 7, 2026 to Monday, May 18, 2026, two WSOP Circuit series will run simultaneously in the US: Commerce Casino & Hotel in Los Angeles, California and Harrah's Cherokee in Cherokee, North Carolina welcome poker players back.

Harrah's Cherokee WSOP Circuit Series

As one of the most popular stops on the WSOP Circuit, Harrah's Cherokee hosts its second WSOP Circuit event this year, featuring 18 gold ring events. The series highlight is the $1,700 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event with the following three Day 1 flights:

• Flight A: Friday, May 15 at 11:00 AM local time
• Flight B: Saturday, May 16 at 11:00 AM local time

The Main Event has a $1,000,000 guarantee, attracting players from across the region to compete for the series' top prize. During the last WSOP Circuit at Harrah's Cherokee, Maxwell Guo of Georgia won the largest Main Event in the venue's history, earning a $386,231 champion's prize and his first WSOP Circuit gold ring.

Commerce Casino WSOP Circuit Series

For the first time in 2026, Los Angeles' premier poker destination, Commerce Casino, brings 18 gold ring events to Southern California. The Commerce Casino $1,700 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event schedule is as follows:

• Flight A: Thursday, May 11 at 11:00 AM local time
• Flight B: Friday, May 15 at 11:00 AM local time
• Flight C: Saturday, May 16 at 11:00 AM local time

Current Commerce WSOP Circuit Main Event champion David Gonzalez will participate; he won the Main Event at Commerce Casino in November 2025, earning $213,524.
