WSOP Super Circuit Canada: 2026 Playground Main Event Guarantee CAD 10 Million

The WSOP Super Circuit will make its North American debut in 2026, taking place at Playground Poker Club in Kahnawake, Quebec. The event runs from August 24 to September 9, 2026. The Main Event buy-in is 5,000 CAD with a massive 10,000,000 CAD guarantee, which organizers claim will be the largest tournament in Canadian poker history.

Historical Records and Legendary Stories

Playground Club has seen strong results in recent years. The WSOP Circuit Main Event in August 2025 set a prize pool record at the time – 1,978 entries and a 4,450,000 CAD pool. The April 2026 event followed closely with 4,040,000 CAD. If the 2026 Main Event reaches the 10,000,000 CAD guarantee, it would nearly double the August 2025 figure.

In the August 2025 event, Jacob Hobday qualified through a 75 CAD satellite and went on to win the 620,000 CAD first-place prize, perfectly illustrating the Circuit's "low buy-in, life-changing" format.

Regulation and Online Qualifiers

Playground is regulated by the Kahnawake Mohawk Council, which has long authorized poker and online gaming activities. Ontario players participate via the iGaming market regulated by AGCO and iGaming Ontario. GGPoker Ontario has launched exclusive online satellites for Ontario players, starting in June, bridging the province's online product with live events on indigenous territory and offering Ontario players a compliant path to entry.
