Antoine Saout

Antoine Saout was born on 26 June 1984 in Morlaix, France. He began playing online poker in April 2007 under the pseudonym "tonio292" while studying at the National School of Information Technology. After a year and a half, he turned professional. In late 2008, Saout shifted his focus to live poker, qualifying for several tournaments including the World Series of Poker through Everest Poker. His first major live cash came in 2008, and he quickly established himself as a formidable presence on the European circuit.

Saout's breakthrough came in the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event. He made the November Nine final table and ultimately finished third, earning $3,479,485. During heads-up play, he was eliminated when his pocket queens lost to Joe Cada's pocket deuces after Cada flopped a set, and later his pocket eights lost to Cada's ace-king when a king appeared on the river. Earlier that same year, Saout finished 7th in the WSOP Europe Main Event for £114,228, one of the rare feats of reaching both final tables in the same year.

In 2016, Saout made another deep run in the WSOP Main Event, finishing 25th for $269,430. The following year, in 2017, he reached his second WSOP Main Event final table, finishing fifth for $2,000,000. This performance cemented his status among the elite, as he became one of only a handful of players to make multiple WSOP Main Event final tables.
