Bokuto Kagami (加々見朴人) began his poker career in Japan, where he won the Japan Open Poker Tour (JOPT) championship, establishing himself as a top domestic player. His early success laid the foundation for his international endeavors.

In 2019, Kagami traveled to Manila for the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) Manila festival. He entered Event #25: PHP 200,000 High Roller 6+ NLH Turbo and emerged victorious, earning PHP 829,400 (approximately $16,000). This win put him on the map as a formidable high-stakes player in Asia.

Kagami made his mark at the 2022 World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas. He cashed in Event #81: $5,000 Freezeout NLH, finishing 71st out of 756 entries for $10,648.
