Brian Altman

Brian Altman was born in 1988 in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. He earned a doctorate in pharmacy from the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2012. Altman began playing poker with friends in high school after watching Chris Moneymaker win the 2003 World Series of Poker Main Event. After completing his education, he moved to Montreal, Quebec, to pursue online poker full-time.

Altman has been one of the most successful players on the World Poker Tour (WPT). His first WPT title came in February 2015 at the Lucky Hearts Poker Open, where he outlasted a field of 1,027 entrants to win $723,008. In January 2020, he won the same event again, defeating 843 players to earn $482,636, becoming the first player in WPT history to win the same main event twice.
