Carol Fuchs

Carol Diane Fuchs was born on October 19, 1962. She is an entertainment attorney and producer, and wrote the screenplay for the 2007 romantic comedy No Reservations. She is married to Martin Shafer, Chairman/CEO of Castle Rock Entertainment, with whom she has two children. Fuchs started playing poker after reading Positively Fifth Street by James McManus.

Fuchs began her poker journey as an amateur, quickly finding success in Los Angeles mixed-game tournaments. She won titles at the L.A. Poker Open in 2005 and 2011, showcasing her skill in varied poker formats.

At the 2015 World Series of Poker, Fuchs won the $1,500 Dealer's Choice (Six-Handed) event, earning $127,735 and her first WSOP bracelet. She became the first female winner of an open event at that year's WSOP and the 21st woman overall to win an open-event bracelet.

Fuchs has deep runs in several high-profile WSOP events:

Fuchs' sister is Jacqueline Fuchs, known as Jackie Fox, former bassist for the band The Runaways. Fuchs resides in Los Angeles and continues to play in home games with Hollywood executives, including her husband.
