Christopher Brewer

Christopher Brewer was born in 1993 in San Antonio, Texas. He attended Rancho Buena Vista High School in California, where he excelled in track and field. In 2010, he finished eighth in the 5,000 meters at the state championship and posted the best 1,600-meter time in the state that year. Brewer then attended the University of Oregon, where he was a member of the track and field team. He earned an All-Pac-12 honorable mention in 2013 and finished 55th in the Pac-12 championship in the 8,000 meters.

Brewer first played poker while attending the U.S. Olympic trials in 2012. He began playing in cash games in the San Diego area before moving to Los Angeles, where he frequented the cash games at the Commerce Casino and eventually moved up to $1,000-$2,000 stakes. His first World Series of Poker cash came in 2015. In the early years, Brewer built his bankroll and experience, transitioning from a collegiate athlete to a dedicated poker professional.

At the 2023 World Series of Poker, Brewer achieved the biggest win of his career by defeating Artur Martirosian heads-up in the $250,000 Super High Roller No-Limit Hold'em event. He made a straight on the river to beat Martirosian's top pair, earning $5,293,556 and his first WSOP bracelet. Later that summer, he won his second bracelet in Event #69: $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw Championship for $367,599. Brewer finished third in the WSOP Player of the Year standings for 2023.

In the 2025 WSOP, he placed 5th in the $250,000 Super High Roller ($1,066,731) and also cashed in the $50,000 High Roller. At the 2025 PokerStars EPT Monte-Carlo, he finished 2nd in the €30,000 SHR Warm-Up for €449,803 and 4th in the €3,000 Mystery Bounty for €79,530.

As of mid-2026, Brewer has recorded further deep runs at the WSOP, including a 4th-place finish in Event #29: $50,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold'em ($634,870), and cashes in the $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship, $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship, and the $50,000 Poker Players Championship.
