In November 2011, Nordstrom entered the APPT Macau Main Event, which had a buy-in of HKD 27,600 and attracted 575 entries. He navigated through the field to reach the final table. On Day 4, with 7 players remaining, he was eliminated in 7th place after clashing with Jeff Rossiter. Nordstrom raised to 390,000 from the big blind and called Rossiter's all-in, holding A♠9♠ against Rossiter's A♦Q♠. The board ran out without help, and Nordstrom was ousted, earning HKD 498,000 (approximately $63,800). Rossiter went on to win the event.
