Erik Kamminga

Rik Kamminga is a Dutch poker player who has been active in the European tournament scene since at least 2010. According to PokerCity, his total live tournament winnings amount to €59,591. He is known for his deep runs in local series such as the Breda Poker Series and the Dom Classics.

Kamminga's most notable victory came in June 2011 at the Valkenburg EUregio Poker Challenge Main Event. With a buy-in of €1,000, the tournament attracted 110 entries, generating a prize pool of €110,000. Kamminga defeated Paul Friesen heads-up after a deal, securing €26,300 (later reported as €31,350 in official results). The final hand saw Kamminga holding J8 against Friesen's AT on a J-T-3 flop, which held through the turn and river.

Earlier in 2011, Kamminga also won the Dom Classics 500 NLHE event, earning €22,260 for first place. He has additional cashes in the North Sea Poker Classics (5th for €1,520), Dutch Open Poker Series (10th for €1,571), and Breda Poker Series (8th in 2025 for €2,185).

Kamminga dryly remarked after losing the pot, "You hit better than I did." In another hand, he applied pressure by moving all-in on the turn with a pot-sized bet, forcing Friesen to fold and taking a commanding chip lead. His style combines selective aggression with the ability to read opponents, as seen in his timely all-in moves.

Kamminga continued to cash in the 2010s and 2020s. In 2018, he finished 10th in the Dutch Open Poker Series for €1,571. His most recent recorded cash is from 2025, placing 8th in the Starter Event of the Breda Poker Series for €2,185.

Although not a household name on the global stage, Rik Kamminga is a respected figure in the Dutch poker community, often playing under the alias "RodeBever" on PokerCity forums. His consistent results in regional events demonstrate a solid understanding of tournament poker.
