Jakub Ojrzyński is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Örebro SK in the Swedish Superettan. Born in Warsaw in 2003, he developed through Liverpool's academy and has gained experience on loan across multiple European leagues. He represents Poland at youth international levels and is the son of football manager Leszek Ojrzyński.

Early Life and Background

Jakub Ojrzyński was born on 19 February 2003 in Warsaw, Poland. He is the son of Leszek Ojrzyński, a well-known football manager. Standing at 1.96 m (6 ft 5 in), he developed an early interest in goalkeeping.

Youth Career

Ojrzyński began his youth career at Ajaks Częstochowa, later moving to GLKS Nadarzyn (2011–2012), Korona Kielce (2012–2016), and Legia Warsaw (2016–2019). In summer 2019, Liverpool signed him from Legia Warsaw for a fee of £200,000. He traveled with Liverpool's first team for their preseason tour of the United States and then joined the club's Under-18s and Under-23s sides. He was an unused substitute for Liverpool's 2–0 Premier League victory over Sheffield United in February 2021.

Senior Career

Liverpool and Loans (2021–2025)

Ojrzyński signed a new contract with Liverpool in July 2021. He was immediately loaned to Caernarfon Town for the 2021–22 season while continuing to train at Liverpool's Kirkby complex. On 22 June 2022, he joined Radomiak Radom on loan for the 2022–23 season, making three first-team appearances before being recalled on 17 January 2023. He spent the 2023–24 season on loan at Eerste Divisie side FC Den Bosch, debuting on 9 September 2023 in a 3–1 defeat to SC Cambuur. On 1 September 2024, he was loaned to Cypriot Second Division club Spartakos Kitiou, but was recalled less than two months later due to administrative errors that prevented him from obtaining international clearance. On 27 March 2025, he joined Swedish second-tier side Utsiktens BK on loan until the end of the season. He left both Utsiktens and Liverpool at the end of June 2025 upon the expiration of his contract.

Örebro SK (2025–Present)

On 12 July 2025, Ojrzyński joined Örebro SK on a one-year deal, with the contract running until 31 December 2026. He has since become the club's starting goalkeeper in the Superettan. In the 2026 season, he has played 14 matches, recorded four clean sheets, and amassed 1,260 minutes of playing time.

International Career

Ojrzyński has represented Poland at various youth levels, including the U15, U16, U17, U19, and U20 teams, from 2017 to 2022.

Playing Style

As a right-footed goalkeeper, Ojrzyński is known for his height and is statistically strong in accurate long balls and clean sheet percentage relative to other Superettan keepers. His transfer value reached a peak of €690,000 in October 2021 and currently stands at €108,500.
