Palokangas participated in the €1,100 Main Event at the 2019 Tallinn Summer Showdown, which had a prize pool of €185,250. During Day 2, he was involved in a rare family pot where all eight players saw the flop. After a J-8-4 flop, Palokangas moved all-in for 36,400 with Q♣J♣ and was snap-called by Jussi Mattila's 6♠6♦. The turn and river brought a 10♣ and J♦, giving Palokangas two pair and a double-up.
