Johanes Korsar

Johannes Patrik Korsar was born on July 12, 1987, in Uppsala, Sweden. He began playing poker online and quickly made a name for himself in the Swedish poker community. In 2008, he was nominated for Rookie of the Year at the Scandinavian Poker Awards following his impressive debut in live tournaments.

Korsar's first major live result came at the 2007 World Series of Poker Europe, where he finished fifth in the £10,000 Main Event, earning £191,860. He continued to excel in live events, winning the Malmö Open in 2013 for his first title and placing third in the WPT Slovenia Main Event in 2011 for €48,500. Over the years, he has accumulated numerous cashes in events such as the Nordic Masters of Poker, the Goliath Phamous Poker Series, and the PokerStars Championship Prague.

Known online as "Greenstone25," Korsar has been a dominant force in online poker. In January 2020, he won the $2,100 Sunday High Roller on PokerStars for $40,778, defeating Jon "apestyles" Van Fleet heads-up. He also consistently posted strong results in online tournaments, including multiple cashes in WSOP Online events and a notable streak of heads-up wins in online poker's $600 Volcano tournament.

In December 2019, Korsar held the number one spot on the online poker world rankings for three weeks. His total live tournament earnings exceed $539,000, placing him among the top Swedish players. Despite not yet winning a WSOP bracelet, he has one final table appearance and over $383,000 in WSOP-related earnings.
