John Racener was born on December 17, 1985, in Dunedin, Florida, and grew up in Port Richey. He graduated from Ridgewood High School, where he participated in tennis, basketball, soccer, and baseball. Racener learned poker at home playing with his family and later discovered online poker through a friend.
