Konsta Ropponen

Before becoming a poker professional, Ropponen played professional football for several Finnish clubs including TP-Seinäjoki, IF Gnistan, Atlantis, AC Vantaa, and Kiffen from 1996 to 2006. In 2005, he played for Kuopion Palloseura in the Veikkausliiga, Finland's top football league. He also worked as a salesman at H&M from 2004 to 2006.

Since January 2006, Ropponen has been a self-employed professional poker player, specializing in both online and live tournament and cash games. Based in Helsinki, he has accumulated over 19 years of experience at the tables. He is known for his aggressive style and is considered one of Finland's top players.

From January 2007 to January 2009, Ropponen served as a columnist for Poker Magazine Finland, where he shared strategies and insights with the poker community. This role helped establish his reputation as a knowledgeable figure in the Finnish poker scene.

Ropponen completed his matriculation examination at Mäkelänrinteen lukio from 1992 to 1996. He later earned a Vocational Qualification in Business and Administration with a focus on marketing and accounting at Amiedu from 2004 to 2006.

Ropponen lists professional football, column writing, and sales among his skills. He is fluent in Finnish and Swedish (native or bilingual proficiency), and English (full professional proficiency). He also has elementary knowledge of Italian and French.
